Turlock students Justin Avila, Tony Gonzalez, Isaias Hernandez, Nick Salcedo and Kamron Young worked alongside Turlock High FFA welding teacher Derek Soares to successfully refurbish a 1936 John Deere DI tractor. Their efforts earned the group first-place honors at both the Stanislaus County Fair and the California State Fair along with the admiration of the local farming community.
